What are the Gamification Hot Seats?

These are group Zoom calls with Kimba where you each take turns asking a question related to your business.

You’ll get a bespoke response to your question from Kimba using her extensive Gamification knowledge and also her personal experience of running different businesses.

You’ll be able to listen to the other questions asked and Kimba’s answers to those too – meaning you’ll come away with even more information and ideas!

The calls are limited to 6 people so that each person gets sufficient time for their question.

What kind of questions could I ask?

You might be interested in the gamification hot seat calls but don’t have a question. Here are some questions you can ask yourself to figure out the kinds of questions you could ask me (meta right!):

  • What tasks or projects have you been consistently postponing or avoiding in your business?
  • Are there aspects of your business that you find draining or demotivating?
  • Are there any specific goals or targets that seem challenging or demotivating for you or your team?

If you’re procrastinating or demotivated about something in business, we can likely gamify it so you can get it done!

  • Which modules or lessons in your online course seem to be less engaging or motivating for your students?
  • Have you gathered feedback from your students regarding their learning experience, and are there common themes related to a lack of time or not making time to prioritise the course (but you suspect it’s actually a lack of motivation)?
  • Do you feel your students could engage more in the community space if you’ve provided them with a group/group chat/place to chat with each other?
  • Are there specific challenges or roadblocks that your students commonly face during the course, leading to a drop in motivation?

If your students are getting stuck in your course, struggling with a certain concept or not engaging in community spaces we can likely gamify it so they get better results!

  • What aspects of your membership program do members find most valuable, and are there areas that seem less engaging or motivating?
  • Are there specific benefits or features that members are not utilising to their full potential?
  • How do you address challenges or concerns raised by members, and do you see any patterns in the types of issues raised?

If your members aren’t finishing modules or utilising features we can likely gamify it so they get the most out of what you’re providing to them!

  • Do you find that people aren’t engaging with your content on social media?
  • Are people not engaging in your free online community?

If your students are getting stuck in your course, struggling with a certain concept or not engaging in community spaces we can likely gamify it so they get better results!

Previous questions have included things like:
  • How would you gamify group training sessions to maintain attention and motivation?
  • How would you gamify a course for a specific industry – with the idea of making a complicated and sometimes boring topic more digestible?
  • What advice would you give yourself if you were becoming self-employed for the first time now?
  • How do I gamify myself to do my admin?
  • How can I gamify myself to do more wellbeing activities?
  • How can I gamify my daughter to revise for her exams?
  • Can I gamify changing direction in my business?

Can I only ask about Gamification?

Kimba has pivoted her business many times over the past 7 years. Including running a digital marketing agency, a social media agency, delivering Instagram courses and now Gamification.

Therefore, Kimba has quite a lot of different useful business experience. You can ask a question about anything you think Kimba can help with (she’ll probably use gamification to solve the problem though)!

Will there be a recording?

Yes, we’ll send you the recording afterwards, though it’ll only be available to download for a month – so make sure you download it straight away!

Will there be enough time to answer my question?

Kimba can get through quite a lot in a short space of time, and we’ll ask you for your questions in advance so that we can make the most of the time available. Each question will have 10 minutes for each person on the Hot Seat.

In the words of Bill Nye "Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don't."

Why Kimba?

Kimba is a successful, innovative and creative entrepreneur based in Bristol.

Kimba has been using Gamification in her personal and business life to improve results and meet her goals for as long as she can remember.

As well as running a flourishing business, in her spare time, she’s a sponsored hula hooper and has used gamification to outsell the other sponsees by 10x.

Gamification has enabled Kimba to improve all aspects of her business leading to more sales and greater results for everyone involved. Whether it’s engagement on social media posts, an increase in the number of people completing her courses or showing up live to online events, better participant retention in her challenges and memberships or getting higher quality testimonials.. everything she’s gamified has seen a marked improvement!

A great example of this, comparing the last two challenges that Kimba ran which upsold to her Instagram course. By adding in just a handful of Gamification elements she went from a 1.1% conversion rate to a 2.9% conversion rate – an increase of 162%.

The final InstaMind course, (10 week Instagram course) saw…

  • A 29% increase in people completing the course compared to last time…
  • 52% increase in posts in the group, compared to the previous round.
  • AND a 16% increase in Active Users (the number of users active in the group across the 10 weeks) compared to previous round.

Kimba has gamified other areas of her personal life too, to help her fit in extra reading, exercise regularly, or learn new skills (all while having fun!)

Kimba now helps other businesses to apply gamification techniques to boost results for themselves and their customers/members. By working in this way everyone is a winner!
