We are getting married at the lovely Tower Hill Barns in Trevor near Llangollen on Friday 5th August 2022
( Llangollen Rd, Trevor, Acrefair, Wrexham LL20 7TN)

The wedding breakfast and evening entertainment also takes place there. 

Key times:

11.00am – Day guests arrive from this time
12am – Wedding Ceremony starts
Exact time TBC – probably around 6pm – Evening guests arrive
12pm – Finish

There is a well stocked bar which accepts cash or card. In addition to the wedding breakfast evening food will be provided. 

There will also be dinosaurs and hula hoops.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

LOCAL ACCOMMODATION

Tower Hill Barns is very close to the lovely Llangollen and Wrexham.

As Llangollen is a touristy town it gets very popular during summer holidays but is well worth visiting for the weekend.

During this time accomodation can be more limited so we advise booking ahead asap!

In fact, as of writing (5/3/22) a lot of local accommodation is starting to book up. Please book soon.

Here are some places that we recommend you stay:

Camping & Glamping: Abbey Farm Caravan Park

This is a good option for a base to explore the local area and staying as a group camping or glamping if that’s your thing. It’s situated right next to Valle Crucis Abbey (pirctured left)

For something a bit more fancy you could try the Ramada Hotel in Wrexham, with a fitness suite and hot tub.

TRANSPORT AND PARKING

The is plenty of space for parking at the venue, vehicles can be left overnight for collection the following morning.

Local taxi firms get booked up very far in advance, there is no Uber available in the area and last minute taxis are pretty much non-existant!

If you are staying in Llangollen please let us know as we will try and organise some group transport to and from the venue on the day.

ON THE DAY

The ceremony begins at 12pm, but you are welcome to arrive from 11am.

Unfortunately, as much as we’d love to invite all of our friend’s children, we can only accommodate a few close family children. We hope that you will understand this decision and that you will still be able to join us on our special day.

However, of course, if you are breast feeding, or cannot get childcare for whatever reason, we welcome your children – please just let us know!

Sadly, the venue does not allow confetti, so we request that you please don’t bring any.

However, we have made alternative arrangements!

We will celebrate all through the day and into the evening until they kick us out at midnight!

WEDDING GIFTS

As we are so lucky to have a home together,
we have decided not to request wedding gifts.

However, if you would like to mark the occasion
of our marriage with a gift,
then we would be more than grateful to receive a small
contribution towards our honeymoon.

More than anything, we hope that you can make it on the day,
so please don’t feel obliged in any way

WEDDING ATTIRE

It’s a wedding, so we’d like it if you dressed up, but we appreciate it’s August so we aren’t expecting three piece suits.

Also, brighter colours are better… it is a celebration after all! 

THE REST OF THE WEEKEND

We’d love to see you the following day for a special trip we have planned on a canal boat.

We’ve hired the biggest one we can find for a mini-jaunt through beautiful countryside including crossing the stunning Pontcysyllte Aqueduct from late morning for a couple of hours departing late morning from Llangollen. 

There are limited spaces though, so please let us know if you’d like to join us! It will be a contribution of £10 per person for the trip and there is a small bar onboard for drinks and snacks…..
