Let’s talk Hashtags
Chroma Stationery – I use 20-30 per post, and have pre-saved groups depending on the type of post. I’ll then add to the list with relevant hashtags
Pinkman’s Bakery – We use a lot of the same hashtags – ones that are relevant to the area (Bristol, UK) but also ones relevant to the profession, and to cafe/restaurants. We normally use about 10-15 per post.
Kimba Digital – We use around 15-30 per post. We get asked about hashtags all the time so put together The Ultimate Instagram Hashtag Guide.
Bird and Blend Tea – We usually use around 20 hashtags per post. This is usually because we try to make sure that we can reach as wide an audience as possible!
Palyglass – I use hashtags on all of my photos, I copy and paste them from my notes and then edit them depending on the photo I am using. I use all 30 hashtags and its usually a mixture of what I’m doing, what flowers I’m using, what the product is and maybe group tags for example the Bristol Etsy team.
Conclusion: Use them wisely and the right ones. If you’re not sure and would like to learn how to use the right hashtags download The Ultimate Instagram Hashtag Guide.
What are your favourite Instagram features?
Chroma Stationery – I love Instagram stories especially the Boomarang, handsfree and stop-mo options.
Pinkman’s Bakery – My favourite feature of instagram is being able to tag other people and companies in our posts when we need to. I like building and maintaining our community and showing our customers & followers who we work with, and who our suppliers are.
Kimba Digital – I love Instagram Stories! I used to be a big snapchat user so really like the Instagram Stories feature.
Bird and Blend Tea – We’ve really been enjoying the feature of adding other people’s stories to your own – this allows us to celebrate the fans that are celebrating us!
What apps do you use for Instagram?
Chroma Stationery – I use various apps for editing including VSCO, Whitagram and Photoshop. I then use Planoly to schedule.
Pinkman’s Bakery – We are currently using Later for scheduling and both Lightroom and Photoshop for editing.
Kimba Digital – Canva, Buffer and Regram and so many more!
Bird and Blend Tea – We sometimes use scheduling software, especially as we’re not in the office 7 days a week but lots of our posting is done straight through the Instagram app. If we happen to make a great iced latte, we want to make sure we can share it there and then!
Conclusion: Play with apps and find some that you can use to enhance your Instagram account. We love a good app!
